Neon green water in Coal Creek tests safe, contamination source undetermined
TULSA, Okla. – A chemical dye is the likely cause of a neon green tint to water in Coal Creek, according to theTulsa Fire Department.
Hazmat crews tested the water and deemed it safe, though the nature of the color and the source of the contamination remain uncertain.
The creek flows through the park for about 150 yards above ground, after flowing out of a box culvert underneath a neighborhood.
