Tulsa city councilor discusses cell phone ordinance restricting use in school, construction zones

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa City Council members are responding after approving a new ordinance last week that restricts cell phone use in school and construction zones.

FOX23 spoke with City Councilor Phil Lakin, who voted in favor of the ordinance.

Lakin said he did not hesitate to support the measure, citing increased safety for children and construction workers.
