Local sensory friendly Christmas party for kids with autism returns for second year

TULSA, Okla. — A local sensory friendly Christmas party catered to kids with autism returned to provide holiday cheer for the second year in a row.

“Today, we set up a Christmas party for children on the spectrum, for children with autism, in the Tulsa and Green Country area,” explained Event Organizer and Director, Thomas Menchaca. “We wanted to celebrate them with a small Christmas party, food, movie, a gift for each child and just something where they can feel special.”

The event was held at Leadership Tulsa and allowed kids and their families to meet Santa, enjoy a movie, eat snacks and celebrate in a relaxed, calm atmosphere…
