Tulsa, OKLA – Tulsa police are investigating an early morning shooting that sent one man to the hospital. Investigators say the man was shot while driving and then managed to drive home and call for help. Officers are still working to identify a suspect.
What police say happened
Tulsa officers responded around 3 a.m. to reports of a shooting near 71st Street and Sheridan Road. Police say a man was driving in the area when someone riding a bicycle opened fire, hitting him.
Despite his injuries, the man drove a few blocks away to his home and called for help. Officers found him in his driveway with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation so far
Police say the victim is cooperating with investigators. His vehicle showed signs of damage, and detectives believe at least one shot was fired.
At this time, officers are still trying to determine whether the victim knew the shooter. The suspect was reportedly riding a bicycle, but police have not released a gender or detailed description…
