Tulsa Treasurehunters Society turns the city into a real-life adventure
TULSA, Okla. – A new social media-based treasure hunt is giving residents of northeastern Oklahoma a reason to get out of the house and explore their city. The Tulsa Treasurehunters Society, founded by Tulsa native and U.S. Navy veteran Roger Seago III, uses Facebook to post clues to hidden prizes, ranging from small trinkets to cash. Anyone who finds a treasure during the month is entered into a drawing for a gift card.
Seago launched the group to bring a fun, interactive twist to social media after seeing the platform filled with arguments and negativity. “I wanted to see if I could make Facebook fun for people again,” he said. “It’s also a way for families, groups of friends, or individuals to get out, explore Tulsa, and be rewarded for it.”…
