Tulsa fire crews rescue pets, homeowners after house fire

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa firefighters responded to reports of a house fire near 11th Street and Sheridan after a Cox Communications crew working nearby noticed smoke and called 911.

Tulsa Fire Department officials said the crew also began alerting the homeowner before firefighters arrived. Crews quickly began attacking the fire while additional teams searched the structure.

Firefighters said the homeowner and a family member were inside the house when the fire started, but were able to get out safely as crews arrived…
