Turner Turnpike Horror As Creek County Driver Is Thrown Into Traffic

A 33-year-old woman was killed yesterday in a violent crash on the Turner Turnpike in Creek County, after a parked vehicle was hit and she was thrown into oncoming traffic, according to authorities. The turnpike was shut down for hours while investigators worked the scene, and officials said the woman’s family has been notified.

What troopers say

According to FOX23, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a car was parked on the inside shoulder and partially in the inside lane when its driver was outside the vehicle. Another vehicle then struck the parked car, causing it to roll and hurl the driver into the eastbound lanes, where she was hit by passing traffic.

Troopers identified the victim as Simantha Rogers, 33, of Raymondville, Missouri, and said she was pronounced dead at a hospital, FOX23 reported.
