TULSA, Okla. — A center that helps domestic violence victims showed off its new and expanded building to the community on Sunday.
“I just want to thank the citizens of Tulsa that have helped us through this process. We started getting a lot of input about what this facility should accomplish, what it should look like, what is should feel like, how much light it should have…all of that back in 2015, and I’m thrilled to death to say that this facility reflects all the input that we’ve had,” said CEO of Case Family Safety Center, Suzanne Stewart
FOX23 reported on the new Case Family Safety center a few weeks ago. The space is nearly 10 times larger than their previous one and now has comfortable interview rooms, a kids center, a wellness center, storage areas for supplies victims may need, and space to do sexual assault exams and strangulation assessments so victims can bet all the services they need in one place.
“This helps families facilitate the care of those people and the more we can do that — take care of people who are the most vulnerable — the safer our entire community is going to be,” said Tulsa County Commissioner Kelly Dunkerley.
Stewart said the building happens to commemorate the center’s 20th anniversary…
