TULSA, Okla. — Raising Cane’s gave a huge boost to a local animal rescue on Monday!
The restaurant presented a $3,500 check to Lab rescue OK. The money came from Cane’s sold-out plush puppy campaign in December.
The marketing director of Lab Rescue OK said it costs around $450 to bring a dog into their organization, so the money will allow them to help a lot of dogs.
“You know, we work really hard to save these animals and bring them in. We bring them into our personal homes and foster them,” said Vanessa Wear with Lab rescue OK. “It’s really wonderful to have some recognition when our volunteers work hard, we show up to events that are [in the] rain, sleet, snow, sunshine — whatever it might be. When people show up and say they want to support us, it keeps us going.”…
