Cleanup Continues in OK After Storms, Next Round Possible Tuesday

After an active severe weather day on Friday, storms are in the forecast again tomorrow.

Two people died as a result of storms on Friday in Beggs, Oklahoma and two more passed away in Major County. Beggs Public Schools will be out this week after storms damaged the school campus. According to the National Weather Service, the Beggs tornado was an EF-3, while an EF-2 started east of Collinsville and ended just south of Oolagah. In all, eight tornadoes were reported in the Tulsa area on Friday. Governor Kevin Stitt has declared a state of emergency in eight counties after the storms.

The next round of severe weather is expected tomorrow, with the possibility of damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain. Timing is expected between 4 p.m. tomorrow and 5 a.m. on Wednesday…
