Tulsa Public Schools names five finalists for 2026 Support Professional of the Year

TULSA, Okla. — Five Tulsa Public Schools employees were surprised with being 2026 Support Professional of the Year finalists by TPS Superintendent Dr. Ebony Johnson on Monday.

Dr. Johnson made several stops at various TPS locations to surprise these hardworking staff members.

“We are deeply appreciative of the contributions of each of our finalists, along with so many other beloved educators across Tulsa Public Schools,” Johnson said. “Their commitment to excellence helps ensure our buildings are safe, clean learning spaces while helping provide nutritious meals and being a welcoming face to students and families each day. Being able to recognize their profound impact in our communities is a small way of being able to honor the joy they bring to their schools every day.”

Tyseeke Edwards (Anderson Elementary), Ashley Jackson (Hawthorne Elementary), Tonya Mure (Central High School), Anisia Simpson (Thoreau Demonstration Academy), and Rolanda Watkins (Booker T. Washington High School) were all named 2026 Support Professional of the Year finalists…
