JENKS, Okla. — Beginning today, parking is closed on one block of Main Street in downtown Jenks.
The temporary closures are part of the City of Jenks Planning Department’s “Reimagine Main Street: Block by Block”, which is a 10-day pilot project in response to public feedback during the Downtown Master Plan process. The public expressed a want for different forms of parking, reduced number of spaces on Main St. and/or no parking in parts of the street.
Parking spaces on 1st and 2nd Street will be blocked from today until March 22. Main St., between the railroad tracks to 2nd Street, will be closed to all vehicle traffic. The road will open by 9am the same day. During the project, Main St. will remain open to all vehicle traffic…
