City Council approves resolution allowing Sapulpa to seize the D-Luxe Properties food truck park by eminent domain

Sapulpa City Council approved a resolution on Monday evening that would allow the City’s attorneys to pursue ownership of the former D-Luxe Dispensary and the surrounding food truck park and amphitheatre through eminent domain if a voluntary sale cannot be reached.

According to the meeting agenda, the City has “identified the need to acquire the property located at 927 S. Main Street for public purposes, including public park and recreational uses, public parking, tourism amenities, and related economic development infrastructure as part of the City’s ongoing public initiatives.”

The City has been tangentially connected to the property since it was developed, with plans in place to install a bridge connecting the property to Kelly Lane Park, which would then somewhat connect D-Luxe to the Trails at Rock Creek trail system created by Sapulpa Parks…
