SKIATOOK, Okla. β Skiatook Fire Department and several other agencies responded to a wildfire north of Skiatook Lake in Osage County.
According to Skiatook Fire, some residents were asked to evacuate their homes as a precaution due to the fireβs fast-growing nature and the direction of the wind changing.
FOX23 sent a crew to the scene near Ranchland Road and County Road 2150 as first responders worked to contain the fire.
According to Skiatook Fire Chief, Jim Annas, the fire began in Avant’s fire disttict and then jumped County Road 2150 burning towards the southeast. The fire went to Ranchland and the Botwell Ranch. Annas said fire crews were able to save the house and cattle. The wind then shifted towards 310Y…
