Tulsa Police say gun arrests downtown prevented possible shootings

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Police arrested three men, all carrying guns, after they were called to help disperse a crowd at The Boxyard early Sunday morning.

TPD Captain Richard Meulenberg said more than 200 people were around the venue when responding officers arrived after midnight. Officers made announcements for the crowd to disperse, with little effect, when 20-year-old Kamarjae Boyd was spotted with a gun in his waistband and arrested for unlawful carry of a firearm…
