Tulsa now has a musical road, the first of its kind in Oklahoma. According to KOTV-DT (News on 6), the city administration has used 2,847 rumble strips on the Southwest Boulevard Bridge to create a musical effect. When driven eastbound on the strips at 35 mph, the stretch of road plays ” This Land is Your Land, a 1940s song by Woody Guthrie.
A clip of a vehicle going over the musical road has gone viral, with many sharing their views on the new addition. Daily Loud (@DailyLoud) also posted the 20-second-long video depicting how the tires play This Land is Your Land. A user questioned the need for a musical road, while highlighting the quality of roads, as they wrote:
