TULSA, Ok – The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma celebrated its volunteers with an appreciation luncheon, recognizing the thousands who help keep its operations running year-round.
About 120 people attended the event, which highlighted the contributions of both individuals and groups dedicated to fighting hunger across the region.
Thousands Contribute Time and Effort
Organizers said roughly 12,000 volunteers donated their time over the past year. Their work included sorting and packing food, assisting at the food bank’s free farmers market and supporting its culinary program.
