‘A disaster waiting to happen’: Ridgefield residents push back against major waterfront development plan

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Members of the Ridgefield community are pushing back against a proposed development project that they say would hurt the area’s wildlife refuge.

Plans for the waterfront development could add a hotel, housing and other commercial spaces for business to an area along the Columbia River, according to the Port of Ridgefield.

The port says that when the project is complete, it is expected to add more than 300 full-time jobs to the city’s economy…
