We already knew Tigard would be getting a Chick-fil-A restaurant in the near future — what we didn’t know was exactly where.
Now that mystery appears to be solved. A close look at the city of Tigard’s interactive map of active permits seems to reveal the yet-to-be-constructed franchise’s location at the intersection of Southwest Gaarde Street and Pacific Highway.
Described as “construction of a new Chick-fil-A restaurant” in a city report, the permit lists the address as 10850 S.W. Gaarde St., and it is referred to elsewhere in the document as “Chick-Fil-A – Tigard, OR (Pacific Hwy & Gaarde St).”
That address doesn’t appear to exist yet. There are two branches of Gaarde that intersect Pacific Highway within a block of each other, and the permits don’t specify which of them the address would fall on. However, an existing Elmer’s that abuts the northern branch would seem to rule that one out…
