6th victim of accused serial killer Jesse Lee Calhoun identified

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A grand jury has indicted suspected serial killer Jesse Lee Calhoun in the death of a sixth victim.

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office made the major announcement on Wednesday.

District Attorney Nathan Vasquez identified the sixth victim as Elizabeth “Libby” Gibson, 32.

The DA said they believe that Gibson was killed on Nov. 18, 2022. However, her body has not been found.​“We will not stop. We will do everything in our power to hold him accountable,” Vasquez said.​The DA’s office is making a plea to the public for anyone with information into Gibson’s disappearance to come forward with that information.

​Gibson’s family issued a statement about the indictment:

Our family is grateful that a definitive step toward justice is finally being taken for our sister, Libby.  Libby was kind, creative, and silly. She welcomed everyone with love and acceptance. Her future was tragically taken from her way to soon.  We are deeply appreciative of the tireless work and dedication of the law enforcement officers and the District Attorney’s Office whose efforts have helped bring us to this point. At this time, our family respectfully asks for privacy as we process this heartbreaking development and continue to honor Libby’s memory.”…
