Monday signals the halfway mark of the five-week shutdown of southbound I-5 through Portland’s Rose Quarter.
Officials with ODOT say work along the nearly two-mile stretch of interstate is on track to be completed by Oct. 16, even after a few days of wet weather.
“We had concrete being poured yesterday, early this morning, and that will continue through early to mid-next week or this week,” said Chris Crabb, an ODOT public information officer. “There’s several steps involved with the work to repair the highway, and most of these are not impacted by rain.”…
