- Nice Sunday after patchy morning fog
- A few showers possible late next week
- Staying warmer & drier than normal
NICE SUNDAY AHEAD
Skies have cleared quite a bit after the scattered showers that fell this morning and midday. Portland only picked up .01″ of rain, just enough to wet the pavement and that’s it. Other than a slight shower chance Monday (10-20% chance), most likely we’ll remain dry through at least next Thursday. The warmest days will be Tuesday and Wednesday.
For Sunday, after patchy morning fog in the valleys, skies turn sunny. Some thin high clouds are likely over and west of the Cascades, but temperatures turn a bit warmer than average
In the metro area, you won’t notice any significant wind
WILL WE GET RAIN MONDAY?
We are under a very quiet weather pattern with high pressure blocking many storms from reaching the West Coast, and those that do are very weak. That included this morning’s very weak cold front. Our GRAF model shows how little rain is likely across the region through Monday night
That means most likely we’ll be staying dry the next three days. A warm easterly wind pushes temperatures up a bit warmer that day
LOOKING AHEAD
There are hints that we might get another weak system around Friday-Saturday, but even that one could split up and not drop much rain. Temperatures will remain warmer than normal; our typical afternoon temperatures now are in the lower 60s, and we are forecasting most days above that level…
