West coast to wet coast: Warm, rainy weather expected Saturday

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — From West Coast to wet coast. Oregon and Washington’s latest atmospheric river brings warmer and wet weather back to the region this weekend.

Tropical moisture will remain over the greater Portland, Vancouver area Saturday as tropical temperatures do the same. Afternoon highs are expected to warm into the upper 50s Saturday as rain continues to fall.

Saturday’s rain accumulation will near 1.35″ by the end of the day. Slightly drier and warmer conditions begin to build over the Pacific Northwest by late Saturday night into Sunday morning. That’s where record high temperatures are threatened Sunday. Highs will quickly warm into the low to mid 60s through the Willamette Valley will mostly cloudy skies Sunday.
