Man shot, killed in southeast Portland

A man was shot and killed around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, after a disturbance in the Mt. Scott-Arleta neighborhood.

Portland Police Bureau officers from the East Precinct responded to the 5900 block of Southeast 82nd Avenue after receiving reports that shots were fired and a person was shot.

Upon arrival a man was found dead. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been detained.

Portland Police Bureau detectives are responding to the scene for investigation. Southeast 82nd Avenue is closed between Southeast Ramona Street and Southeast Woodstock Boulevard during the investigation.

The identity of the victim will be released after the medical examiner confirms the cause of death and family member have been notified.
