The Hillsboro Police Department is asking for the public’s help with two old cases that have anniversaries in September because this is National Cold Case Month. On Sept. 23, 1992, Elizabeth Burtis Wasson was killed. The 83-year-old was found at her home in the 2100 block of Southeast Brookwood Avenue.
