The race before voters for the 6th Congressional District is a rematch from two years ago in which Democrat Andrea Salinas, then a state legislator, narrowly bested businessman Mike Erickson of Lake Oswego to represent the newly-drawn district. But this year, there should be no contest between the two. Salinas has built a credible record in her first term in Congress, while Erickson seems locked in the election battle from 2022. Voters should stick with Salinas.
