Having parents who were civic leaders, Maureen Wolf seeks full term on Tigard’s council

A lifelong Tigard resident, Maureen Wolf won a seat on the Tigard City Council in 2022, filling the remaining term of then-Councilor Heidi Lueb, who resign her seat to run for mayor that same year. Wolf said her parents were active community volunteers and civic leaders, which guides her work as council member.

Wolf, who currently works as a search consultant to Oregon school boards in search of a superintendent, had been a longtime member of the Tigard-Tualatin school board before joining the council. In all, she has served on public education boards for more than 15 years.

In 2020, Wolf helped found Packed with Pride, a community-based program that provided food boxes to Tigard-Tualatin School District families when buildings were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wolf currently serves as vice chair of the Northwest Regional Education Service District, where she is focused on early learning and early intervention.

Wolf said she first ran for council in 2022 to share her understanding of public governance and address the issues facing Tigard residents.
