Police said a person died by suicide near a parking garage Wednesday afternoon on the Portland State University campus. The person was a 22-year-old student, said Portland Police Bureau spokesperson Sgt. Kevin Allen. The death occurred at about 1:25 p.m. at Parking Structure 1 in the 1800 block of Southwest Broadway.
