Last week, two people were arrested at the Motel 6 in Wilsonville for violating probation and parole.
Andrew Barratt, 34, and Sarah Schwartz, 37, were taken into custody at the motel on Thursday, Dec. 19 on outstanding warrants, Wilsonville Police Chief Robert Wurpes said in an email.
In October, court records show that Barratt was convicted for failing to report to law enforcement as a sex offender within 10 days of his birthday in August. Barratt pleaded guilty to the crime on Sunday, Oct. 10 and was placed on 18 months probation, requiring him to “report as required by law” and pay $670 in fees.
Schwartz was convicted of second-degree theft in December 2023, according to court records, after pleading guilty to stealing from Walgreens in Tualatin and the Dick’s Sporting Goods Tualatin/Lake Oswego location. Schwartz was also given an 18-month probation, which prevented her from being within 100 yards of the stores and required her to complete 48 hours of community service within six months, forfeit seized property and pay $100 in fines.
