Year-in-Review Part 2: Plenty of fun and interesting stuff going on…again

Welcome back to part 2 of this year’s Year-in-Review of some of my favorite stories from 2024. In the Jan. 1 edition, we covered January through June. So, it stands to reason that we’ll cover July through December in this latest iteration.

So with that, I’ve taken a stroll through my story files to cultivate a list that I like. Again, It’s not the “best of” or “most important” or a “top 10” list of stories, just a list of stories that I enjoyed writing or seeing on the website, Facebook page or the print product for the Herald-Pioneer.

There’s no literary science behind this list other than my own personal preference for the stories and what they may have meant.

For some of the stories, you’ll get a couple opening paragraphs from the story itself. For others, I’ll simply write a little synopsis of how and why it appeals to me.

And, I’ll break it down in terms of months and we’ll see how it all goes.

And with that, let’s see what caught my eye the last part of 2024.
