Two displaced, pets dead after house fire near Hillsboro

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Two people were displaced and two pets died after a fire at a home near Hillsboro early Thursday morning, authorities said.

According to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, crews responded to Southeast Noland Street, south of Hillsboro just before 2 a.m., where a home had flames coming out of the roof.

Since the home was in a rural area, crews needed to use water tenders to help fight the fire and it was quickly upgraded to first-alarm, authorities said.
