Car recovered from Portland river in family-of-five disappearance case from 67 years ago

Authorities have made a breakthrough discovery about the disappearance of a family-of-five 67 years ago in Oregon , which has haunted the Portland community for decades.

On December 7, 1958, the Martin family, including parents Ken and Barbara and their three daughters, Barbara, 14; Virginia, 13; and Sue, 11, had vanished after taking a day trip to the mountains to prepare for the Christmas holiday.

The rescue search for the family captured national attention as it took nearly five months for the first body to be recovered, though some never were. Susan and Virginia were found in the river, but the parents and teenage Barbara’s bodies remain missing to this day…
