Arrest made after WA lawmaker’s son shot in road rage shooting in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE — A significant breakthrough has come in the investigation of a weekend road rage shooting on Stratford Road. The Moses Lake Police Street Crimes Unit, supported by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), successfully apprehended a suspect believed to be involved in the incident.

The Moses Lake Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to the scene at 1158 N. Stratford Road near Maple Drive following a call about a fight, during which a firearm was reportedly brandished.

Police say the situation intensified at around 8 p.m. when another call was received from the intersection of Stratford and Maple, with the caller stating he had been shot. Witnesses at the scene described a harrowing event where a white sedan pulled alongside the victim’s vehicle and opened fire, shooting several rounds as both vehicles moved northbound…
