Iconic Bob’s Red Mill building selling for nearly $6 million

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — After closing up their walk-in store and restaurant just last month, the iconic barn-style Bob’s Red Mill building is officially up for sale.

Placed on the market on Feb. 18 — the day after the store closed — the 20,889-square-foot building is listed at $5.95 million. The Portland Business Journal first reported news of the listing Thursday morning.

Built in 2003, the 1.96 acre-lot is “distinctive and easily recognizable,” boasts solar panels, a large commercial-grade kitchen, a loading dock, ample seating for outdoor dining and more, according to the property listing.

According to a statement from Bob’s Red Mill, the whole grain store had been “operating at a loss for many years,” which prompted them to close both it and the restaurant to “focus on doing what we do best: making wholesome and high-quality products for sale at our retail partners . “…
