PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — On March 17, Portland Police sought public assistance in locating a vehicle stolen during an armed carjacking. The victim was pistol-whipped and held at gunpoint in Portland before two suspects stole his Audi, which also contained his phone.
The victim and Portland Police Bureau began tracking the phone’s location, leading officers to a Safeway on Highway 99 in Clark County.
