PORTLAND, Ore.– Multnomah County Deputies recovered a body from the Willamette River on Friday, marking the third such discovery on a small stretch of waterway in less than a week, the Sheriff’s office confirms. They discovered the body in the river near the Port of Portland’s terminal four, near the St. John’s Bridge. That body’s now on the hands of the county medical examiner’s office to find out who the person was and how they died.
Sunday, the sheriff’s office recovered the body of 3-year-old Daniel Alcazar near Swan Island. Investigators have not released his cause and manner of death yet. Social media posts suggest Alcazar has been missing since February.
And on Tuesday, investigators found the body of 24-year-old Rachel Mobley, in the Multnomah Channel, near Sauvie Island’s Wapato Bridge. As with the others, there were no details released about her cause or manner of death. She’d been missing and was last seen in November…
