Portland police expect to see ‘couple thousand’ protesters on May Day

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – May Day falls on a Thursday this year, but the Portland Police Bureau is still preparing for several protests in the city.

The holiday, also known as International Workers Day, is a celebration of laborers and the working class. People around the world often protest for better pay and working conditions.
