Police locate woman in SE Portland abduction case; No crime committed

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Authorities say no crime was committed after investigating a possible kidnapping report in Southeast Portland on Tuesday.

Portland Police officers initially responded just before 11 a.m. after receiving reports of a possible abduction in the 800 block of SE 162nd Ave.

According to investigators, just before 10 a.m., a white van made a U-turn and pulled up to a woman who was walking down the street. A person got out of the van and approached the woman before forcing her into the vehicle and driving off, police said…
