VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) – Drivers traveling through Clark County should prepare for overnight delays on Interstate 5 as the Washington Department of Transportation begins pavement repair work this weekend.
Starting Sunday, June 8, WSDOT maintenance crews will repave and seal worn sections of I-5 near the I-5/I-205 split. The project will involve full closures, lane restrictions and ramp closures through Wednesday, June 12.
Northbound I-5 closures
- 10 p.m. Sunday, June 8 to 5 p.m. Monday, June 9: All northbound lanes between Northeast 134th Street (milepost 7.25) and Northeast 139th Street (milepost 8.5) will close. Drivers will be detoured vis Exit 7B and reenter the freeway using the on-ramp.
- 10 p.m. Thursday, June 12 to 5 a.m. Friday, June 13: The two right lanes will close between Northeast 78th Street (milepost 4) and Northeast 99th Street (milepost 6), including the Northeast 99th Street on-ramp.
Southbound I-5 closures
- 10 p.m. Monday, June 9 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 10: The on-ramp from Northeast 179th Street (milepost 9.23) to southbound I-5 will be closed.
- 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. nightly, Tuesday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 11: The two left lanes will close at the I-5/I-205 split (milepost 8.10). All traffic will be shifted to the right lanes and detoured onto southbound I-205. The on-ramp from Northeast 139th Street (milepost 7.12) will also close.
