Vancouver school officials dispel rumors of ICE activity at Franklin Elementary

VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) – Vancouver Public Schools officials are reassuring parents and community members after social media posts falsely claimed that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity happened on campus during morning drop-off on Monday.

In a message sent to families Monday, Vancouver Public Schools acknowledged the online speculation but confirmed no ICE agents were present on school grounds. Officials say they reviewed security camera footage and found no evidence to support the claims.

“Any ICE activity that may have occurred in The Franklin neighborhood did not take place on school grounds,” the message stated, “We checked our security camera footage to confirm this is accurate.”…
