PGE customers could face another rate hike in 2026

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Portland General Electric customers could see another rate hike soon.

Documents filed with the Oregon Public Utility Commission show that this time, the company is seeking an increase of 2.2% overall.

Residential customers using an average of 784 kilowatt hours could see rate hikes up to 2.8%, amounting to a roughly $4.49 per-month increase according to a spokesperson for PGE. If approved, the increases would take effect April 1, 2026.

PGE customers already saw their bills increase earlier this year, aftera 5.5% rate hike took effect in January.
