Thieves dressed as medical staff steal checkbooks from Portland pediatric cardiology clinic

PORTLAND, Ore. — Two people dressed as medical personnel stole checkbooks from a Portland pediatric cardiology clinic and later cashed forged checks totaling thousands of dollars, according to the victim and Portland police.

Dr. Marc Legras, a pediatric cardiologist at the Pediatric Cardiology Center of Oregon located at 300 North Graham near Legacy Emanuel said the incident occurred Aug. 12 around 1 p.m. when two individuals wearing medical masks came into his clinic.
