Suspect in deadly North Portland motel shooting arrested in San Francisco

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The suspect in a deadly shooting of a man in Portland’s Overlook neighborhood has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in San Francisco, authorities said.

Police said 41-year-old Philip E. Redmon was originally found shot to death inside the Portland Super Value Inn on North Interstate Avenue the night of Aug. 11.

Pedestrian dies after crash on NE Columbia Boulevard

A medical examiner determined Redmon had died of homicide by gunshot wound.

On Tuesday, police said the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested 38-year-old Andy J. Wright in San Francisco, where authorities say he is awaiting extradition.

Wright is currently lodged in a California jail on charges of second-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm…
