Woman pleads guilty after wrong-way crash in N Portland kills 4-year-old

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A 27-year-old woman facing manslaughter and DUII charges for a crash in north Portland that killed her 4-year-old son, pleaded guilty on Friday.

Angelina Minor pleaded guilty to 15 charges regarding a series of crashes on March 20, 2024:

  • First-degree manslaughter.
  • Two counts of third-degree assault.
  • Seven counts of recklessly endangering another person.
  • Two counts of second-degree criminal mischief.
  • Driving with a suspended or revoked license.
  • Failure to perform the duties of a driver.
  • Driving under the influence of intoxicants.
  • A charge for reckless driving was dismissed.

Police say Minor was driving a Hyundai Elantra when she first hit a car in north Portland and then kept going. After driving across a median divider, she headed into oncoming traffic. Moments later, she crashed head-on into a Tesla at North Fessenden Street and North Mohawk Avenue.
