Dozens of rescued cats finding homes in SW Wash. as humane society waives fees

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KATU) — Cat lovers are lining up to adopt furry friends who were recently rescued in Southwest Washington.

The Humane Society of Southwest Washington waived its adoptions fees Friday. They say 18 people were waiting to meet cats when it opened its doors yesterday.

Many of the cats rescued earlier this summer. In July, HSSW took in more than 50 cats from an abandoned RV in Battle Ground. Earlier this month, an additional 32 cats and kittens were rescued from an unattended RV in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees…
