Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem, has told National Guard in Oregon to “get ready’ amid deployment tensions in Portland.
Oregon’s governor, Tina Kotek, said she had met Noem at the airport on Tuesday and asked her to ensure that federal forces in Oregon obey state laws.
Kotek, who spoke to Noem more than a week ago when President Trump called for National Guard troops to protect the ICE building in Portland, said she reiterated that “there is no insurrection in Oregon.”…
