Police: Suspect arrested after threatening to shoot people in Gresham neighborhood

GRESHAM, Oregon — Gresham police are investigating after a suspect threatened to shoot people, then fled into the neighborhood late Saturday morning.

Around 10:28 a.m., police responded to a call about a person armed with a gun threatening to shoot people at 18200 Southeast Yamhill Street.

While police were responding, the suspect fled into the neighborhood but surrendered shortly afterwards in a resident’s backyard, according to the Gresham Police Department…
