Armed bandit’s Southeast spree ends with Reed Neighborhood robbery

Throughout the summer, 49-year-old Justin Pat Christiansen was busy plying his trade. The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) Major Crimes Unit detectives have accused him of being on an armed robbery binge in Inner Southeast Portland from June through September.

In the course of their investigation, detectives developed numerous leads — including a photo of the suspect vehicle, with the bandit at the wheel, captured by security cameras.

From June 23 through September 2, Christiansen is alleged to have robbed six businesses – primarily fast-food restaurants and drive-through coffee shops in the Reed, Brooklyn, Creston-Kenilworth, and Foster-Powell neighborhoods…
