Hundreds of Legacy Health workers begin open ended strike Tuesday

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Hundreds of Legacy Health workers are going on strike Tuesday morning after what they say has been nearly two years at the bargaining table.

The open-ended strike includes nurse practitioners, physician associates, certified nurse midwives and clinical nurse specialists.

The Oregon Nurses Association said they’ve been working on a new contract agreement for nearly two years, and Legacy has been refusing to meet with healthcare workers for discussions.
