PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Portland Fire and Rescue has issued a fire code violation at a Habitat for Humanity housing complex in Southeast Portland.
The action comes after a years-long KOIN 6 investigation uncovered concerns about blocked fire access and other life-safety issues at the newly built affordable homes. This fire code violation, related to emergency vehicle access — is a safety standard the city did not flag before approving construction plans.
